Go to ssh and run command that you see in cacti, but add redirection to a file.
If rrdtool generate the valid file it means you probably have problems with your php configuration.
Since I have quite a few Cacti templates I've created over the years, I get quite a few requests for help when they don't work.
Each data source is an RRD file and this is where the graphs are generated from.I have developed my own SNMP service, and i want to plot a graph of an OID provided. For 5 minutes polling, the step will be 300 and the heartbeat will be 600. So for 1 minute polling (on the poller and the cronjob) you will have to use a step of 60 (seconds) and a heartbeat of 120.We will start the process by installing Cacti in the new server.A previous tutorial provides detailed information on how we can set up Cacti in the new server. The graphing seems tohave stopped during a major network outage, but that was resolved the same evening - graphs still aren't updated. The poller still runs, and is able to gather snmp data. I've tried rebuilding the poller_cache and even rebooted the machine to no avail.
