From Daisy de la Hoya to Rodeo to Heather Chadwell, we were on a mission to find out what all our favorite Rock of Love contestants lives looked like now.Check them out in our gallery and relive the infamous tattoo moment between Heather and Bret in the video below. The lead guitarist who actually introduced Brett to Rikki and Bobby, soon left the band due to creative differences. The band then hired Matt Smith and formed the band Paris in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania in 1983.After playing the Pennsylvania bar circuit, in early 1984 they moved to Los Angeles to seek fame on the Sunset Boulevard scene, eventually changing their name to Poison. That same year, Michaels met 16-year-old Tracy Lewis, who would become both his girlfriend and the muse for one of his most memorable songs. De Ville, who would become both Michaels' friend and a source of conflict.
He starred in the hit VH1 reality show Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and its sequels, then released Rock My World.
On the other hand, Taya, the too-good-to-be-true Penthouse model, told Bret she'd rather not spend the night with him at the end of her respective date. This all coming from a man who has spend the past three months (or 22 years, depending on how you look at it) talking about how much he loves sex with women, and strippers, and threesomes, and porn, and, you get the picture. Leading up to the series finale, my feminist hackles were raised during Rock of Love Bus because Bret (and the contestants on the show, and the producers, and VH1, etc.) encouraged women to use their sexuality to get attention and compete with one another.
The skimpier their outfits and the raunchier their behavior, the nearer the contestants came to winning Bret's ballad-singing affections.
I didn't like it, but at least it was pretty straightforward and the women were being honest about their sexual desires (even if, to me, those desires seemed misplaced).
I think that's why I feel so grossed out by the insidious sexual morality tale of the finale, because the reason I've been drawn to Rock of Love Bus is that (up until now) it's been one of the few shows on television that didn't ask women to apologize for our sexuality.
In 2006, Hit Parader ranked Michaels at #1 on their list of greatest Heavy metal singers of all-time.
